LARUS Limited recently participated in the 60th Asia Pacific Advanced Network Meeting (APAN60), held in Hong Kong SAR, China, from 28 July to 1 August 2025. Organised by the Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC), APAN60 served as a regional platform for researchers, educators, technical professionals, and policy stakeholders to convene on critical challenges and emerging solutions in internet infrastructure and advanced networking.

The event brought together over 300 participants from 30+ economies, focusing on IPv6 deployment, 5G, network automation, cybersecurity, and open-science frameworks.      As a leading player in the IP address services ecosystem, LARUS was among the active participants exploring future-proofing strategies for digital connectivity in the Asia-Pacific.

Throughout the week-long hybrid conference, APAN60 featured more than 50 in-depth sessions, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions covering themes such as next-generation NREN (National Research and Education Network) development, AI-enhanced network management, medical IoT applications, cybersecurity policies, and multistakeholder governance. These sessions provided attendees, including LARUS, with valuable opportunities to contribute to technical conversations and understand the evolving needs of the research and education community.

LARUS’s participation is particularly relevant as and regional collaboration remains key to solving persistent infrastructure challenges, including IPv4 scarcity and secure internet access in emerging markets. By engaging with APAN’s diverse community of engineers, scholars, and institutions, LARUS reaffirms its commitment to supporting a stable, inclusive, and innovative digital future.

The significance of APAN60 goes beyond technical exchange. It reflects the region’s collective ambition to foster a resilient internet backbone capable of supporting open science, cross-border collaboration, and next-generation technologies. For LARUS, the event marked not only a chance to share insights but also to listen and learn from the wider academic and technical ecosystem that will shape Asia-Pacific’s digital landscape in the years to come.
